History
The company's formation made headlines across the disc golf world when, after a 26-year relationship with Innova that included signature discs and a proprietary plastic blend (KC Pro) bearing his name, Climo made the surprising announcement in November 2024 that he would be parting ways with his longtime sponsor for "an opportunity he couldn't pass up." This opportunity materialized in January 2025 as an innovative partnership with Discraft to launch Climo Disc Golf, featuring an initial offering of three signature molds—the Skyway driver, Bellair midrange, and Champ putter—manufactured at Discraft's Wixom, Michigan facility but sold exclusively through the brand's dedicated website and wholesale channels. With Dana Vicich serving as Sales & Brand Manager, the company's stated mission extends beyond mere product sales to "preserve and enhance 'The Champ's' legacy today and forever," creating a brand that honors not just the player but his enduring impact on the sport's development and competitive standards.
