About Daredevil

Daredevil Discs is a Canadian manufacturer known for their rugged, cold-weather performance discs and distinctly Canadian themes. With a focus on creating products that perform reliably in challenging northern climates, Daredevil has built a reputation for durable discs with predictable flight characteristics that maintain their integrity even in extreme temperature conditions.

History

Daredevil Discs was founded in 2011 by Tim Barr, a dedicated disc golfer from Saskatoon who recognized the need for discs specifically designed to perform well in the harsh Canadian climate. After years of playing in sub-zero temperatures and watching standard discs become brittle and unpredictable, Barr set out to develop plastic blends that would maintain their flexibility and flight characteristics even in extreme cold. The company launched with their signature "Polar" plastic blend, which quickly gained attention for its superior performance in cold weather conditions. Their initial lineup featuring Canadian-themed discs like the Beaver, Moose, and Sasquatch resonated with players from northern regions who appreciated both the cultural references and the practical performance benefits. Daredevil has gradually expanded their presence throughout Canada and into northern U.S. states through strategic partnerships with regional tournaments and Canadian professional players. The company has maintained their commitment to Canadian manufacturing, with all discs produced domestically in Saskatchewan. As one of the few successful non-U.S. manufacturers in North America, Daredevil continues to carve out a niche in the market by focusing on climate-specific performance characteristics while celebrating their Canadian heritage through distinctive artwork and branding.
