About Elevation Disc Golf

Elevation Disc Golf is a Colorado-based disc manufacturer known for creating uniquely textured discs designed to perform in the varied terrain and conditions of mountain disc golf. With a focus on innovation and specialized performance, Elevation has garnered attention for their distinctive approach to disc design that addresses the challenges faced by players in high-altitude and rugged environments.

History

Elevation Disc Golf was founded in 2019 by Andrew Streeter, a Colorado-based disc golf enthusiast who recognized the need for discs specifically designed to perform well in mountainous terrain and high-altitude conditions. After years of playing in the Rocky Mountains, Streeter set out to develop discs that would address the unique challenges of mountain disc golf, including thinner air, extreme elevation changes, and varied ground conditions. The company made a significant impact with their first release, the Koi, which featured an innovative rubber-like material and distinctive surface texture designed to reduce ground play on rocky or steep terrain. This groundbreaking approach to disc design quickly earned Elevation a dedicated following among players who frequently navigate challenging courses. Since then, Elevation has continued to expand their lineup with discs like the Interceptor and Alpaca, each featuring unique properties suited to specific mountain playing conditions. Despite being a relatively small manufacturer, Elevation has carved out a distinctive niche in the disc golf market by focusing on specialized solutions for players who venture beyond the traditional flat, grassy courses.
