About Eurodisc

Eurodisc is a German manufacturer specializing in discs designed specifically for European playing conditions and courses. With a focus on engineering precision and meticulous quality control, Eurodisc produces flight-stable discs that perform consistently in the varied terrain and often windy conditions found throughout European disc golf courses. Their methodical approach to disc design has earned them respect among technically-minded players who appreciate the brand's attention to detail and commitment to European craftsmanship.

History

Eurodisc was founded in 2009 by engineering professor and disc golf pioneer Dieter Schulz, who recognized the opportunity to create discs specifically tailored for European courses and playing conditions. After years of playing with American-made discs, Schulz observed that many were designed primarily for the open fields and consistent conditions prevalent in American courses, rather than the tighter, more technical courses common throughout Europe. The company began with a focus on creating discs that would perform predictably in the varied elevations, dense forests, and frequently windy conditions characteristic of many European courses. Their initial lineup included the Alpen driver, designed for high wind resistance; the Bavaria midrange, optimized for wooded technical shots; and the Rhine putter, engineered for consistent grip in varying weather conditions. Eurodisc distinguished itself through its rigorous testing protocols, with each new mold undergoing extensive field testing across multiple European countries before release. The company has grown steadily within the European market, particularly in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Nordic countries, establishing strong partnerships with European disc golf tournaments and fostering development of the sport throughout the continent. While remaining primarily focused on serving European players, Eurodisc has begun to gain recognition among American players seeking discs specifically designed for technical wooded courses or challenging wind conditions. With their commitment to precision engineering and European manufacturing standards, Eurodisc continues to strengthen its position as one of Europe's premier disc golf brands, helping to establish European disc golf as distinct from, but equal to, its American counterpart.
