History
The company's innovative journey began in the summer of 2020 when founders Niels Sørensen, a mechanical engineer who developed the flight path simulator technology as part of his final thesis project while collaborating with Kastaplast, joined forces with economist Asger Sandahl and IT product development Ph.D. Kasper Jakobsen to transform theoretical flight simulation into practical disc design. Their breakthrough came in 2021 when Løft Discs launched a remarkably successful Kickstarter campaign for their first product—the Hydrogen putter—which raised more than €200,000 and established the company as a serious player in the disc golf industry. Since this auspicious beginning, the company has expanded its product line to include additional discs like the Bohrium and Silicon while maintaining its commitment to pushing the boundaries of disc design through scientific innovation, with the ultimate goal of helping players achieve better results on the course through data-driven equipment optimization.
