History
Trash Panda Disc Golf was founded by Jesse in 2020, who started the company in his garage in Littleton, Colorado. The concept had been brewing since 2008 when Jesse first wondered why more recycled plastics weren't being used in disc golf. After 12 years of contemplation, he finally took action by quitting his job and building a makeshift injection molding machine in his garage to create discs from recycled plastic. After more than two years of research and development, which Jesse documented extensively on YouTube, Trash Panda achieved its goal in November 2022 by releasing the Inner Core - the world's first disc made from 100% recycled plastic. The company has since diverted over 11,000 pounds of plastic from landfills and has grown to include a team of passionate individuals dedicated to sustainability in disc golf. In August 2023, Trash Panda became a certified B Corporation, the first disc golf company to achieve this certification. This designation recognizes companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Trash Panda continues to expand its product line and impact by implementing disc recycling programs, hosting course clean-ups, and working with the disc golf community to promote more sustainable practices in the sport.
