Vibram was founded in 1937 by Vitale Bramani, who invented the first rubber lug soles following a tragic climbing accident. The company is headquartered in Italy and has become synonymous with quality and innovation in rubber sole technology. Vibram made a significant impact on the disc golf industry starting in 2009, when Steve Dodge joined the team to develop a line of discs. Despite ceasing disc manufacturing in 2018, Vibram continues to be a respected name in the industry and has considered a return to disc manufacturing.
