About Dynamic Discs

Dynamic Discs is a prominent disc golf manufacturer, retailer, and event coordinator headquartered in Emporia, Kansas. The company started as an internet and eBay-based online disc golf store specializing in custom discs and apparel. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the leading brands in the disc golf industry with a comprehensive product line that includes discs, bags, baskets, apparel, and accessories. Today, Dynamic Discs operates from an impressive 82,000 square-foot headquarters and distribution facility in Emporia, housing over a quarter of a million discs. The company is known for its quality products, distinctive designs, and significant contributions to growing the sport of disc golf through tournament sponsorships, course development, and professional player endorsements. In 2023, Dynamic Discs became part of House of Discs, a larger umbrella company that includes several major disc golf brands. Despite this acquisition, Dynamic Discs remains its own brand with its unique identity and product lines.

History

Dynamic Discs was founded in 2005 by Jeremy Rusco while he was still a student at Emporia State University. It began as a college hobby to help pay for his newfound interest in disc golf. The company grew from a home-based eBay operation to launch its own e-commerce shop in 2009. By 2010, they had opened their first physical retail location in Emporia. The pivotal moment in the company's evolution came in December 2012 when they transitioned from being solely a retailer to becoming a manufacturer by partnering with Swedish company Latitude 64° to produce their disc designs. This manufacturing partnership allowed Dynamic Discs to expand their product line rapidly while maintaining quality control. In 2017, Dynamic Discs and Latitude 64 jointly acquired Westside Discs, further strengthening their position in the market. The company continued to grow its physical presence with locations in multiple states and mobile retail through Dynamic Discs RVs that travel to tournaments across the United States. In March 2023, Dynamic Discs was acquired by House of Discs, a conglomerate that includes Latitude 64, Westside Discs, Kastaplast, and other disc golf brands. Today, Dynamic Discs continues to be a major influence in the disc golf industry, with plans to relocate its Pro Shop from downtown Emporia to Champions Landing by spring 2025, marking another step in the company's ongoing evolution.
